Titan Secondary SCITT Birmingham – Entry Requirements

In order for you to be eligible for the course you will need to have the following:

• GCSE in English and Mathematics at grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications.

• A degree (minimum 2:2*) or an equivalent qualification. Your degree should be relevant to the subject that you wish to teach.  Applicants must prove that they have the required subject knowledge in order to teach the national curriculum for key stages 3 and 4.

• A minimum of 2 days classroom experience.

• Overseas qualifications will need to be supported by a UK NARIC comparability statement. Applicants are required to provide evidence of identity, visa or ‘Right to Remain’ before being accepted on the course

• In order to satisfy the entry requirements for ‘Fitness to teach’ you will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire which will be forwarded to our independant medical advisor.

* Applicants with a 3rd class degree may be considered providing that you have an academic background (GCSE & A Level) at a high level.  Please contact the Titan office for more information.
